  2. A Aristocrat In ancient China aristocrats were nobles who got money from the land they owned.

  3. B Bureacracy A bureacracy is a group of officials that are in charge of different areas of the government.

  4. C Civil service examination The civil service examinations were tests for people that determined if they got government jobs or not.

  5. D Desert A desert is a big hot and sandy area of land that you can live on under certain circumstances.

  6. E Empire Some dynasties built empires.

  7. F Firelance Gunpowder was used in a weapon called a firelance.

  8. G Government Government in ancient China was very important because it gave people jobs and much more.

  9. H Himalayas  The Himalayan mountain range is home to, the tallest mountain in the world, Mount. Everest.

  10. I Ideograph An ideograph is a symbol standing for several ideas.
