  2. UST SUBCOMMITTEE Disseminate information, policy changes, and proposed rules pertaining to underground storage tanks; resolve issues that are unique to the military community

  3. UST SUBCOMMITTEE • Meetings • April 21, 2004 • AST Issues • Land Use Controls, continued • Double-walled piping requirements • Airport Hydrant Systems • Infamous “Dirty Dirt” Issue—have we exhausted ourselves?

  4. UST SUBCOMMITTEE • Future Issues Of Interest • Rulemaking • 15A NCAC 2H .0200 is moving forward • 15A NCAC 2L is on hold • 15A NCAC 2N is in development • The UST Section Permits and Inspection Branch makes determinations whether a tank system meets the definition of UST

UST SUBCOMMITTEE • Future Issues Of Interest (continued) • The DWQ reorganized and the Groundwater Section was separated and part moved into the Planning Section and part into the newly created Aquifer Protection Section • AST registration remains with Arthur Mouberry, but may be moved in the future
