  3. Target segment • Demand: • This application is aiming for high security environments in which tracking image log data is required. Target Groups: • Banks • R&D divisions • Defence industry

Key features • Send a copy of all scanned/copied/faxed/printed pages (images) together with some additional information to an external database • The information log can be analyzed • Provide a database browser with searching functions enablingadministrators to sort information due to specific criteria • Ability to create a new database on the database server • Offers a log report & email notification feature • Search for image log capable Konica Minolta MFPs and select MFPs to be monitored  • Windows background service

Stored job information • Scan- / Copy- / Fax- / Print-image in PDF format • User name • MFPs serial number • Send time • JobID From XML file • JobStatus (e.g processing, completed, aborted) • JobStatusDetails (e.g. Power Off) • Job Received time • Job Completed time • Job Type • Job Name • JobDocPageNumbers • JobDocCopyNumbers • JobPageSize (e.g. A3, A4) • JobDestination (e.g. IP address, output tray,…) From SNMP

Configuration notes • Image log data would not be stored directly inside thedatabase, but in the bEST Guard server’s file system structure -> in order keep the database small and stable • The database only contains a link to the related image data • bEST Guard only provides a database browser • Email notification feature should be used • Image log data and related job log data is sent from Konica Minolta MFPs– that are supporting the image log feature • Implementation of bEST Guard is only useful in combination with an authentication solution

  8. Legal • Pay attention to data protection requirements which could be vary due to country regulations • Customer has to inform employees before using bEST Guard • Employees has to sign a document “declaration of consent”
