By the way, it was the time… • Several months after the wall “fell” • Several weeks before two Germanies will unite • Yugoslav dinar was enlisted everywhere in exchange lists in the western world • The salary of assistant in Yugoslavia was 1000 DEM. • All in all: two Germanies and one Yugoslavia

  7. All in all • Then: • 2 Germanies and 1 Yugoslavia • Now • 1 Germany, and 6 - 7 (?) new countries • [And, in fact, many more]

  8. Officially, in 1999 • Transferred to Burkhard (1990) • [9 very interesting years] • Burkhard → Bothe (1999) • DAAD initiative (academic rebuilding of SEE) • Klaus → Stanimir • Zoran → Katerina • The rest is history 
