Silicon Valley LDCEC • Friday, Nov. 15 – Sunday, Nov. 17 • Inspirational speakers • Socialize with other SV DECA members • First-year members • Get acquainted with events • Help choosing the event best for you • Returning members • Increase likelihood for competitive success • Strategies from international winners

  5. LDCEC Signups • Signup form on our website • Rooming form is directly below • Leave blank if you don’t care • Need chaperones! • (ask your parents) • Registration due by Friday • Money due next Wednesday • $200 per student

  6. First Study Session • Tomorrow, October 17th, 5 – 6 PM • Room 603 • Will be going over competition basics: • Which event is best for you? • Elements of a Role-Play • Elements of a Written Event • Competition structure • 1-on-1 with officers

  7. Parent Emails & Donations • MANDATORY: Fill out the Parent Email form • Form is on the website and posted in the Facebook page • We depend on student and parent donations • Wide range of activities • Suggested donation ($40): DECA apparel • $50 donation level: DECA apparel & lanyard • Turn in donations during meetings or at Room 603 before school

  8. Club Food Day • This Friday, October 18th • Clubs sell food in the quad • DECA will be selling The Habit Charburgers! • Our booth is on the side of the quad near Coble’s and Taylor’s rooms

  9. To recap: 2 speaker Events LDCEC First Study session tomorrow In-n-out during Club Food Day on Friday Meetings will be moved to Room 603 starting next week Make sure to like our Lynbrook DECA Facebook Page (not group)
