  2. Biography • Born May, 2nd, 1906 in New York City dies June 25th 1979 In New Your City. • Moved to France where he worked for a fashion magazines, like vouge. This started his fame of becoming a famous portrait photographer. Mainly in France though. This soon changed and he became infamous for his celebrity portraits. • Known for very dark, sharp, images. • Became famous in America when he took a photo of Constance Ford for a lipstick add. • Most of his photographs have a lot of movement and he’s known for people jumping in his photos.

  3. This photo was taken inside, the shot was taken at an angle, the main subject is the water (in my opinion), The lighting is dim and there are a lot of shadows. Every object is the picture is in motion. I think this photo is very interesting and I wondered how they may everything in motion at the same time.

  4. This is a portrait of Marilyn Monroe (the main object), taken of her listening to music. This photo was taken inside at her house, the lighting is dim.

  5. This photo was taken outside, the lighting is bright. The main object is the man and the large barrel of hay. This is a front view shot, taken at a minimal distance.

  6. This portrait is of Audrey Hepburn. Taken outside under a tree. The light is dim and this is some what of a close up shot. It is taken slightly at an angle.

  7. The main subject are the bodies. They are trying to form the shape of a skull. Philippe has several photos where he does stuff like this. The photo is dark and the contrast is interesting.
