Overview of Grants.gov s2s Grants.gov is the portal for funding opportunity lookup/download and the transmission of proposals to federal agencies KC allows a user to lookup and attach a Grants.gov opportunity to a Proposal Development record KC entered data feeds the appropriate GG forms and ultimately can be submitted to GG via s2s Currently KC 3.0 accommodates 50+ active Federal forms encompassing multiple agencies KC System will indicate whether the specific form/opportunity is available via s2s, but some packages will still require a live submission

4. Using Grants.gov in KC PropDev • Search and return an opportunity • Select forms for inclusion in submission • Select forms for print/review • Grants.gov specific validations (errors and/or warnings) • Same as ‘Check Package for Errors’ button in live GG packages (GG requirements only) • Submit via s2s login through KC • Receive same confirmation emails • Submission information available in Submission History panel of Grants.Gov tab

Form Mapping/Logic • Each form has mapping logic programmed into schema so it can identify which KC data to pull into each form for print and ultimately submit to GG • Mapping information and form instructions for each form is available in the Kuali Coeus 3.0 Grants.gov s2s User Guide found at: https://wiki.kuali.org/display/KRADOC/Home • Based on current Coeus mapping documentation • Instructions on how to us Grants.gov in KC • Specific instructions on how to populate and use each form available in KC • Mapping logic behind each form

7. Implementation Concerns Modifying or deleting table values could affect GG functionality if mapping logic exists e.g., Proposal Type if you change the description order or delete certain entries it will alter mapping logic:

8. Implementation Concerns • Before modifying/customizing table values check mapping documentation for any GG functionality • If you want to change values, Parameters may be available for certain fields

Future growth of Grants.gov S2S in KC • New forms and updated form versions are constantly forthcoming from Grants.gov • Will be handled most likely through patches for implementing schools • Questionnaire will continue to replace Yes/No Questions for new GG forms • Maintain functional equivalence w/Coeus and accommodate any improvements or fixes currently in progress
