  3. Types of Health Services Health Care System Immunizations, health screenings, and health care professionals are all a part of the health care system. Whenever you’ve seen a doctor for a checkup or a dentist for an oral exam, you’ve used preventive care. Health care can be divided into: • General care, which includes primary care physicians. • Specialized care, which includes specialists.
