Key Findings Glencoe Math In Focus Holt Course Key concepts tightly align to Common Core as well as Math in Focus Differentiated Resources More training needed to increase fidelity of implementation More time needed to build students’ prerequisite skills 6-8 teachers in district-to-district observation and articulation heavily relied on supplemental resources for skill mastery Not as tightly aligned to Math in Focus Strategies

No!o! • Identification of key supplemental resources • Past experience = 6-8th grade teacher proficiency in blending resources • Advanced problem solving from Math in Focus to ensure continual Rigor • Bar Modeling and other conceptual supplemental resource identification and usage

NeXt steps… • Targeted month by month unit planning • Ensure tight alignment to Common Core Math Grade by Grade Core Foundational Units and Skills • Articulation between 5 and 6-8 • Bridge concepts in relation to students’ current levels of proficiency • Longitudinal analysis of Math in Focus Program Results in K-5
