Cyber crime basically are committed against individuals or groups of individuals with a CRIMINAL MOTIVE to intentionally harm the reputation of the victim or cause physical or mental harm to the victim directly or indirectly by using modern telecommunication networks such as Internet and mobile phones

  4. Types of cyber crime • Spam • Fraud • Harassment • Obscene and Offensive Content • Drug Trafficking • Cyber Terrorism

  5. SPAM FRAUD • unsolicited sending out of junk e-mails for commercial purposes, which is unlawful • refer to fallacious misrepresentation of fact conveyed with intention of inducing another to do or refrain from doing something that will ultimately lead to some major kind of loss

  6. HARASSMENT OBSCENE & OFFENSIVE CONTENT • Commonly encountered in chat rooms or through newsgroups • sending someone else inappropriate photos, sexually explicit materials or racist propaganda

  7. DRUG TRAFFICKING CYBER TERRORISM • drug traffickers usually used Internet in trading their illegal substances such as drug by sending enciphered e-mails through chat rooms • hacking into official websites or crashing of official websites
