  1. Tablets pilot project . . . my experiences so far Meetings at the Department of E-Learning. Various encounters with the supplier regarding hardware and software content. Workshops with E-Learning support teacher. Joanne Mallia Zahra B.Ed (hons) DEAM

Using tablets in my classroom • To enhance the learning experience for 21st century students. • Using technology as an extension of the teacher. • An educational tool to aid different students in reaching higher literacy goals. • To up skill students in creating using various applications, videos, cameras, etc.

  3. The flipped classroom • Students centred as students can learn anytime and anywhere. • Personalisation and customisation of teaching and learning. • Advantages for absent students. • Provides time for classroom interaction. • Involving parents .

  4. Challenges • Work overload. • Tackling different abilities. • Unprepared students.

  5. Guided Reading • Apps of graded reading books facilitate guided reading sessions. • Narration provides proper English diction.

  6. Achieving higher order skills • Online activities to help students acquire higher order skills.

  7. Answer garden • To help students carry out brainstorming sessions in the shortest time possible while making it interesting and sharing ideas. • To introduce creative writing. • As a plenary session after introducing a new topic.

  8. Technology does not make good teachers, however it helps us to reach our aims.
