Physical Features The Polar bear is all white, it weighs about 1,250 pounds. Polar bear’s height is four feet tall, it’s legs are short, stocky bodies and short tails. It has small ears.
Lifespan and is it Endangered • The polar bear is endangered and it lives about 30 years.
Habitat –Where it lives • It lives in the coldest environments.
Climate/Weather • Lots and lots of snow. It’s very cold. It’s one of the coldest places on earth. • It’s cold even in the summer. • Winter lasts for six months.
Landform What Does The Land Look Like? • The polar bear lives in the arctic snow. There are no trees in the arctic . The arctic is usually white. The ground is always frozen.
Food The polar bear is on omnivore. He eats a lot of meat, but he also eats seaweed and berries.
Prey/Predators The polar bear is a great hunter. His prey are seals, birds and eggs. His favorite dinner is a seal. Some of his enemies are killer whales, walruses, and humans.
Behavior The polar bear loves to swim in freezing Arctic water. He also enjoys rolling in the snow.
Babies The baby polar bear develops and grows quickly. They stay with their moms for two years. A baby polar bear is called a cub. At birth a cub weighs 1 1/2 pounds and is a foot long.
Polar Bear’s Adaptations • The Polar Bear has a thick fur that helps him stay warm. • It has white fur to blend in with the ice and snow, so his predators won’t see him. • Polar bears have wide paws to help him walk on the snow with out sinking in the snow.
