The Reasons Are Mentioned Below • Roku is pushing out a new software update that will add some an oddball new service where your Roku can monitor what you watch on cable or antenna, then recommend streaming shows for you. • This feature uses Automatic Content Recognition technology to scan what you’re watching, then suggest other shows that are available on the streaming services you subscribe to.  • This new feature is entirely opt-in, and only really applies to the subset of people who have an HD Roku TV and still subscribe to cable or use an antenna.
