  11. Viktigt att tänka på för lärare • Kolla själv upp de sidor dina elever använder • Begär utskrift från interaktionen då och då (dels för att ha koll, dels för att kunna diskutera språkbruk och annat) • Lär dig ”netiquette” och prata med eleverna om detta • Utgå från ett innehåll

Några umgängesregler (”nätvett, netiquette”) • Observera först, delta sedan • Tänk först, skriv sedan • Undvik sarkasmer och svara inte på påhopp • Var tydlig (t.ex. välj rubrik med omsorg, använd smileys) • Uttryck dig kort, koncist och med relevant innehåll • Undvik versaler (= du skriker) och alltför många akronymer • Ta reda på vilka regler som gäller på just det forum där du vill interagera

  14. A Tale (with apologies to Beatrix Potter) Once upon a time there were four letter-writers and their names were Fleurie, Laura, Eleanor, and David. They hopped onto the Net from Britain and the USA and clicked their way across Le Monde (or more precisely, its on-line discussion pages). Fleurie and Eleanor, who were good little students, looked for pen-pals in order to improve their French, whereas Laura and David were much more concerned by vigorous debates about racism and cultural imperialism. In fact, David didn't even manage to write in French. Yet it was Laura and David who were warmly welcomed to stay and contribute, while Fleurie and Eleanor left, apparently discouraged.
