  2. Working to qualify as an actuary is a massive commitment requiring significant investment of time, money and energy. 

  3. Where To Start You can study to be an actuary all over the world. University education is advised, though not necessary. For some ideas of where to study.

  4. The Exams The exams are tough – only 40-50% of candidates are expected to pass and 100 hours of study are recommended per hour of exam.

  5. Time It typically takes 6-10 years to qualify as an actuary from start to finish.
