(1 required per team*) • Required: • Engineering Notebook – 9-3/4" x 7-1/2", 5x5 quad-ruled, 80-100 pp. (approx.). • Tablet computer with MS Excel installed. • Course website: Schedule & Materials pages IENG 471 Facilities Planning

  11. Expectations • Assignments & Sub-Projects: • Each question / project component is graded on a 10 point basis. Each assignment is equally weighted. • Exams: • Exams are open Engineering notebook; and closed textbook and homework. • Necessary tables are identified, and provided on Materials pg. • Final Project: • Project is a team effort – but an adjustment may be made for significant individual contribution above/below team mean. • Project Presentation will be given during last week of the course. • Project Report will be due by 1:00 PM, Wed., 13 DEC. Expectations • Due Dates / Late Work: • Assignments and project work are due at the start of class on the due date (see Schedule page). • Late assignments will receive 90% of the earned credit until 5:00 PM on the day of the deadline, and will be graded and returned at instructor convenience.   13. Expectations • Make-up Work: • Make-Up work is the student’s responsibility, and is arranged at the lecturer’s discretion. Policies: • Foreseeable Circumstances - contact the lecturer as far in advance as possible (e-mail, after class). • Unforeseeable Circumstances - contact the lecturer as soon as practical (leave phone message). Assignment • Go to Schedule Page, do HW 1 • HW: 1 – Planned Facility Measures (Project Task, 4 persons) • 5+ Items/things that should be housed • 5+ Criteria, each with a Quantitative Measure to assess it • Use Excel to layout the facility as your team designs it to meet your team’s criteria • Turn in one document per team • First Tab is a cover sheet for your team • Second Tab is the list of Items, Criteria and Quantitative Measures • Third Tab is the overall site plan • Remaining tab(s) are floor plans for different levels IENG 471 Facilities Planning
