Mission “… to provide free Internet access to descriptions of archival collections, preserved and made accessible by Arizona repositories, including libraries, special collections, archives, historical societies, and museums …to inform, enrich, and empower the public by creating and promoting access to a vast array of primary sources across the state of Arizona.”
What Will I Find? • 1,672 guides describing archival materials held around Arizona. • Two ways to search • Basic search finds a specific term or terms • Advanced search allows limiting by repository, searching in specific sections or fields, exclusion of terms, and proximity searching

Members Receive • Permission to upload an unlimited number of finding aids • Development and maintenance of best practices • Training in AAO best practices and infrastructure • Maintenance of the AAO database, stylesheets, website, server, and associated software • Access to Google Analytics reports in support of institutional assessment activities • Coordination of overall AAO program • Negotiation for and management of AAO’s technical consultant
Members are Required To • Designate an official contact person • Attend annual plenary meeting and special meetings as necessary • Comply with uploading protocols and basic quality standards • Report website and server errors promptly • Keep abreast of AAO activities and projects • Sign a Letter of Intent with AAO and pay required dues
