Project outline • Team event to look at spiritual wellbeing in the workplace • Exploration of what spirituality meant for us • Look at what spiritual harmony and disharmony in the workplace look and feel like • Creating spiritual wellbeing at work • Building spiritual care into appraisal • Relaxation through complementary therapy

  4. Main points raised • Feeling alone and responsible for targets • Importance of forgiveness and trust • Box ticking vs ethical practice • Importance of cooperation and collaboration • Value of acknowledgement and praise • Enthusiasm = vulnerability, Disengagement = loss of job satisfaction • Importance of peer support

  5. Staff appraisal • “How have you felt about working for this organisation during the past year?” • “What could this organisation do for you to improve your effectiveness and wellbeing at work?”

  6. Other NHS Orkney Activity • Looking at work in the hospital with patients • Expansion of Hospital Chaplaincy using endowments funding • Recruitment of new Chaplain ( approach me if interested!)
