  1. Welcome to Senior Parent Night

  2. Queremos que usted…. Se Envoluqre We want you…. To be involved! • We would like to discuss with you some of the requirements that your son or daughter must fulfill in order to participate in ANY senior activity. • During the week of December 12 - 16the students will get clearance to participate in the senior events. • Quicieramoscomentar con ustedesunos de los requirimientosquesuhijo/a debe de completar antes de poderparticipar en cualquieractividadpara los Seniors • Durante la semana del 12 de Deciembre al 16 los estudiantes van a serdespachadoparaparticipar en lasactividades de su ultimo año.

  3. El permiso para participar en las actividades pueden ser revocadas por cualquier de las rasones que siguen: Permission to participate in any senior activity may be denied or revoked for any of the following reasons:

Attendance Asistencia • El estudiante no puede tener mas de 5 ausencias sin escusar en ninguna clase semestral o 10 ausencias sin escusar en una clase anual • El estudiante no puede tener mas de 20 tardancias a la escuela. • The student may not have more than 5 unexcused absences in any semester class or 10 unexcused absences in any annual class • The student must also not have more than 20 tardies to school.

  5. Finances Finanzas • Todaslasdeudastienenqueestarpagadas antes de el 6de Enero del 2012 • Estoincluyelasdeudas a la biblioteca, deudas de lasclases, y librosperdidos. All school debts must be paid by January 6, 2012 • This includes library fees, class fees and lost text books.

  6. Horas Comunitarias Community Service • All students must have 75 hours of community service completed and documented by November 1 • For questions, please speak to your child’s lead teacher • Todos los estudiantes deben tener 75 horas comunitarias antes del 1de noviembre • Si usted tiene cualquier pregunta, por favorpóngase en contactocon la maestra de la academia

  7. Outdoor Suspension Suspensiónfuera del colegio Students must not have been on outdoor suspension for 10 or more days or 7 or more SCSI days. Estudiantes no pueden tener másde10 días de suspensión afuera del colegio o 7 dias de suspensión dentro del colegio.

  8. GPA GPA • Estudiantes deben de tener un 2.0 GPA para participar en los eventos de los seniors. • Students must have a 2.0 GPA to participate in senior events.

  9. Mala Conducta Misconduct Any Senior who is found in possession of any illegal substance or whose behavior is disruptive at a Ferguson sponsored event, as deemed by an administrator, will be automatically excluded from all future senior activities. Cualquier estudiante en el grado 12 que se encuentra en posesión de cualquier sustancia ilegal o cuyo comportamiento es perturbador en un evento patrocinado por John A. Ferguson, según se considere por un administrador, será automáticamente excluido de todas las actividades de alto nivel en el futuro.

Otrosrequisitos Other Requirements • Todos los estudiantes deben de vender por lo menos una suscripción del revista antes del 22 de septiembre. • Esto es para aliviar los costes de el resto de las actividades de su hijo • Por ejemplo: ¡los autobuses para el viaje de los estudiantes son casi $2500 por cada uno!! • Incentivos • Vende5 - Senior Spirit Shirt GRATIS! • Vende 10 - Senior Spirit Shirt and Picnic GRATIS! • Vende 20 - Senior Spirit Shirt, Picnic, and Breakfast GRATIS! • Vende30 - Senior Spirit Shirt, Picnic, Breakfast and Prom GRATIS! • Vende50 - Senior Picnic, Breakfast, Prom ticket, and Senior Trip GRATIS! • All seniors must sell at least one magazine subscription by September 22nd. • This is to alleviate the costs of all other senior activities. • Example: buses for Senior Trip are almost $2500each!! Incentives • Sell 5 - Senior Spirit Shirtis FREE! • Sell 10 - Senior Spirit Shirt and Picnic is FREE! • Sell 20 - Senior Spirit Shirt, Picnic, and Breakfast FREE! • Sell 30 – Senior Spirit Shirt, Picnic, Breakfast and Prom FREE! • Sell 50 - Senior Picnic, Breakfast, Prom ticket, and Senior Trip is FREE!

  14. Yearbook Online Sales • This year we are finally able to sell yearbooks online. All you have to do is log on to www.yearbookordercenter.com type in the order number 498 and look for your child. If your child does not appear on the student list then type in their information. You may pay with a credit card or check. We will have sales on campus but only cash will be accepted. Yearbooks are $65.00.
