  8. distractions I find excuses not to work when I get home… “I’ll do it after Deal or No Deal”…. which becomes… “there’s no point starting now, I’ll start after dinner”…… there’s always something better to do that homework and/or revision. I sit with my friends in class, we do work……. but maybe we chat more. I do my work on the laptop……. but also tend to spend a lot of the time I’m on it checking what other people have put on Facebook. We did revision in History today at school……. I don’t need to do anymore. I always treat myself to one game of Call of Duty or FIFA 13……. but one game is never enough and the next thing I know I’ve been playing for over an hour.

  9. how you can help Provide an area where your child can work quietly, away from any distractions!

  11. There is no point in writing “RE” in a revision slot. Revision has to be specific. Write a topic or exam question into your revision slot. This way time is not wasted with the thought “What should I do?”

  12. Now when you come to revise you are focused and can get straight down to revision!
