Keystone Exam Information Who will participate in the Algebra 1 Keystone Exam? All students who complete a study of the eligible content assessed on the Algebra I Keystone Exam this school year. In Central Bucks School District this includes students completing Algebra 1 or Accelerated Algebra 1.
Keystone Exam Information When will the exams be offered? The Keystone Exams can be administered up to three times per year (fall, spring, and summer). Middle School Students in Central Bucks will take the Algebra 1 Keystone Exam during the spring testing window established by the state department of education.
Keystone Exam Information How will the Keystone Exam be counted? • The Algebra 1 Keystone Exam is replacing the math portion of the 11th grade PSSA (the 11th grade PSSA is no longer administered). • Students taking the Algebra 1 Keystone Exam before 11th grade will have their score “banked” and counted as their PSSA score when they are in 11th grade. • The Algebra 1 Keystone Exam counts as the mathematics portion of the district’s state accountability exam. • Passing the Keystone Exam (proficient or advanced score) is a graduation requirement for the class of 2017 and beyond. Therefore, all current middle school students must be proficient on the Keystone Exam to graduate from high school. Students who are not proficient/advanced will provided with remediation before they are reassessed.
