  1. CTR Club Officer Candidates for 2014-2015

  2. Natasha Houpe for President Helping others is not something I do, it is simply who I am. Visible or hidden, recognized or shunned, everyone has a need that MUST be filled. I am eager and prepared to bring my knowledge, resources and desire to serve to the office of CTR club president. I have worked with and served many local agencies that assist those with disabilities as well as agencies that work as advocates for those that are labeled as under-served. With the resources and knowledge I have acquired, I hope to help the CTR department grow exponentially. As a CTR community, we have the power to be the change we wish to see! My greatest internal battle is resisting the opportunity to devour a Reese's Cup!
  3. Jennifer Pegram for President I am really looking forward to this upcoming year! I have a passion for serving with other students to make things happen! I want to jump into this coming year with some exciting service projects, ready to serve our community’s needs right where they are. I desire for our campus and community to know what we do and why it’s important. If elected as President of the CTR Club, I desire to collaborate with professionals in our fields and create opportunities for us to work alongside of them. I dream to see this club grow in its abilities and strengths. We, as aspiring professionals CAN have a profound impact on the fields we are about to enter into. What we do is important. What we do is life giving! If we want to see our professions continue to grow and flourish we will have to rise to the occasion and make it happen! My fun fact! I’ve successfully delivered a baby pig from a momma Sow by myself!
  4. Lisette Loaizafor Vice President I feel that I would be a good candidate because I am a very dedicated person, and I will put a lot of effort into what I do. Fun Fact: I love to dance, especially salsa music.
  5. Jarod Styres for Vice President As vice president, it will be my duty to help the president with all responsibilities including planning and implementing meetings, furthering the goals and objectives of the club, and more. Finally, I will combine my experience as treasurer of the club tennis team, organization skills, and involvement in the club to continue the awareness of the CTR club on campus. Fun Fact: I am a big fan of Captain America, Dexter, Breaking Bad, and Game of Thrones.
  6. Justus Rumbley for Secretary I will use my organizational and communication skills to take minutes and keep all members of the club informed of the subjects discussed during meetings. I want to be a part of the success and accomplishments of the CTR Club as it continues to grow. Fun Fact: I can hold my breath under water for 2 minutes
  7. Shané Lennon for Secretary My previous and current leadership positions have well prepared me for this position. In high school, I was Secretary of the Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA) club. In addition to secretary, I was Treasurer of Student Government Association for my senior class, Finance/Fundraiser chair of the HOSA club here at UNCG and Vice President Elect of Student Alumni Association for 2014-2015 also here at UNCG. Being versatile in my leadership positions has taught me how to work well with people of various backgrounds, and how to cater to individuals on different levels. By me having experience as serving as secretary before, I feel as though I have the necessary skills for this position. I understand what is expected of me with this position, and I am willing to put forth my very best effort and more. Fun Fact- I have watched every single episode, on every season of Law & Order: SVU!!!
  8. Taylor Safford for Treasurer I feel as I'd be perfect for the position due to my last leadership experiences I've held in other organizations. Such as, Secretary in Student Gov, and Vice President of Youth Advisory Board of Parks and Rec. Due to these past positions , I uphold the qualities of being trustworthy, organized, and cooperative or a team player when it comes to working on an exec board My fun fact is that I am 1 inch away from being 6ft tall.
  9. Faith Hutchens for Social Chair I am a good candidate for the social chair position because I want to plan social events that encourage new and old CTR Club members to feel welcomed and accepted, while also having fun! Fun fact: I jammed out to the Frozen soundtrack every time it snowed (or iced) this year!
  10. Yvonne Uriarte for Social Chair I believe I would be a good candidate for the social chair of the CTR Club because I love to get involved with social events and I strongly dislike to see anyone feel left out or alone. course ! A fun fact about myself is when I was 17 years old I was diagnosed with a benign intracranial hypertension peudo tumor cerebri that caused me to see double and have periods of blindness for 2 years. Everything is fine now and I can see, with glasses or contacts of course !
