Scope of Problem • 52% of students surveyed reported being bullied • 72% of students surveyed observed other students being bullied • 73% students surveyed informed adult at school • 73% students surveyed felt adult at school were helpful • After telling adult, 68% students surveyed reported that bullying behaviors continued

Scope of Problem • Parent and Staff had lower perceptions of amount of bullying than students – tended to get reports of only worst incidents. • Students viewed adults as ineffective. • Many bullying incidents floated below the surface. • Situations would erupt resulting in more fights and incidents especially near end of the year.
