It is known as one of the premier research universities in the nation.
The mission of The Juilliard School is to provide the highest caliber of artistic education for gifted musicians, dancers, and actors from around the world • Juilliard’s Piano Department is the second-largest department within the Music Division, representing approximately one-quarter of its total student enrollment. • The Juilliard School offers a rewarding work experience at our campus at Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, the cultural heart of New York City, and an excellent benefits package. • It's like a competition every day since it's only 600 students enrolled. • About 300-450 students audition each year and only 36 actors/actress get accepted, 24 dancers get accepted, and 35 musicians get accepted. • One of the best things about attending Juilliard is the opportunity to experience the excitement of living in New York City.

Life on Campus Juilliard Even if you're on a limited budget, there are many free and inexpensive activities, and the ease of New York City’s public transportation system allows you to explore museums, attend festivals and performance events, or simply discover the many vibrant neighborhoods that make up the city. If you don't live in the dorms, you have to wake up about 2 or 3 hours earlier since the traffic gets very crowded. You'll make it to your classes if you do that routine. Juilliard is in the heart of New York.
