  1. They changed the world The invention of dynamite, penicillin or the first plane completely changed the world. The people who invented them had a greatinfluence on the shape of today’sworld.

  2. Isaac Newton1643 – 1727 Isaac Newton was an English physicist, mathematician, inventor, etc. He is considered to be themost influentialscientist in history. Isaac Newton formulated the theory of universal gravitation and the three laws ofmotion.

  3. The Wright Brothers The Wright Brothers designed and constructed the first plane. The first flighttook place in 1903.

  4. Alexander Fleming1881-1955 Alexander Fleming was a Scottish pharmacologist whodiscovered penicillin. Thanks to his discovery we are able to treat infections and kill bacteria now.

  5. Alfred Nobel1833 - 1896 Alfred Nobel was a Swedish chemist. He was the inventor of dynamite. After hisdeath his fortune wasused to institute the Nobel Prizes for great inventions.

  6. Nicolaus Copernicus 1473 - 1543 Copernicus was a great astronomer. He formulated the theory of the solar system. Copernicus held that the Earth is another planet revolving around the sun.
