Ask clarifying questions: • If you decide to do this, what is likely to happen? • What kinds of things have you considered doing? • What kinds of advice are you getting from other people? • What kinds of feelings come up when you think about making a decision? • How do you think this will play out? • What will be different if you decide to do this?

  9. Taking Care of Yourself • You have a life outside of HEMI! • Do not take the actions, behaviors, or attitudes of your mentee personally! • Manage frustrations
