Greening Your Nursery • When getting the nursery ready- choose paints that are labeled low or no VOC’s • For baby’s clothes- look for organic fabrics, minimize clothing with flame retardant chemicals • Use only glass bottles- even BPA-free bottles have some "plasticizers” that are of concern • Look for mattresses and bedding that is organic or formaldehyde-free • When buying infant care products- look for lotions, soaps and shampoos that are as natural as possible, with a smaller list of ingredients,  and without fragrances, parabens, phthalates, preservatives or dyes. • Add living plants to the nursery- they are natural air cleaners. • Avoid artificial air fresheners.
