2. Setting and Characters • Setting • The settings are at school, Judy’s house, outside, Fur and Fangs, Judy’s clubhouse, hospital, and Jessica’s house. Something I noticed about the setting I think it all happened in 1 week. • Character • The characters in this story are Judy, her dad and mom, Stink, Mr. Todd, Rocky, and Jessica. If I were Judy, I wouldn’t care about if just my elbow showed or if they spelled my name wrong I’ll care about just having fun at the pet show.

3. Judy She’s kind of good at spelling. She wants to be famous. She has 1 brother, 1 cat, and a teacher like ever kid has. She hates Jessica. She has 2 friends. She collects band-aids, fancy toothpicks, and bazooka Joe comics. She likes science. I think she might be a good friend.

4. Author’s Purpose • Problem: She tries to get famous and it doesn’t work. • Do: She became the phantom doll doctor. • Learn: Its hard to become famous. • I Learn: It’s hard to become famous and there’s not that much stuff to become famous.

5. Book Recommendation • I didn’t like chapter 3 because I didn’t get its name. I think you might not get what it means too unless you know what the prefix means. I like the chapter called Fame is the Pits because the name is funny. I think you might think its funny too if you read it. I didn’t like that she stole the dolls but I did like that she fixed them for the kids in the hospital. You might kind of like that chapter too. In some chapters I couldn’t put the book down. I think that might happen to you too. I think people might kind of like this book.
