Details of Monetary benefits to the institution Direct Support ~1.5M • Support to KIET to cover organizational overheads—1M • Financial Auditing and contingency ~0.5M Core Team Salaries etc. ~5M • Salaries for senior developers –150Kx24 ~3.6M • Stipend for PI and CPI—30Kx24 ~0.76M • Salaries for support staff—16Kx24 ~0.4M Student support: ~4M • Tuition fees for 10 grad students—Rs 280Kx4 ~1.1M • Monthly stipend of Rs 10K for ten grad students ~2.4M • Monthly stipend of Rs 5K for three undergrad students ~0.3M Software/Hardware support: ~2.5M • Software—Rs 2M • Equipment (PCs)— Rs 0.66M

Project Team Coordination 6 KIET—COE, COCIS etc. PI & CPI Admin Coordinator ICTRnD Day to day affairs of the team, stationery requirements, interaction with Colleges and other admin issues (Rana Shoib or Sadat) Coordinating with ICTRnD on Admin issues like hiring workforce, Setting up bank account, Auditing requirements etc. Synchronizing team members, updating them on deliverables and helping them in the documentation

Financial matters • Bank Account management • Requires extensive paperwork • Signatories should be kept at a minimum (If possible either PI or CPI option will be added) • Regular Salary and stipend payments • Should be automatic requiring no signatures • Equipment and software procurement • Should require approval of either PI or CPI only • Finance coordinator • Required for bookkeeping

Project preparation–Human resources • PI and CPI –already available. • Course load has to be reduced to 7 credit hours/semester • No teaching assignment during summer • Software and Firmware developers—negotiations under way. • Full work hour freedom should be ensured • Is part-time teaching (one class ID) available? • Advertisement need to be sent (only if required by ICTR&D) • Graduate student registration • Evaluation –room required for half-a-day in City campus • Students may require extensive training in summer

Project preparation–Physical resources • An air-conditioned room with two cubicles for developers and counter space for 8-10 research students • Temporary arrangement ?? • A mid-range server (Xeon dual processor, quad core, 32 GB RAM, 3X 500 GB, LCD monitor ) • 10 KVA branded (APC, Merlin Gerin, Liebert ) UPS • A laser printer (e.g. HP LaserJet P2055dn or better) • 24x7 broadband Internet accessibility • 24x7 remote accessibility to the server One-time Cost is ~ Rs 0.5M

Project—What is next • Intimation to come from ICTR&D to initiate bank account opening procedure (tentatively in a week’s time) • Disbursement of first tranche (within 4-6 weeks) • Selection of developers (currently under process) • Hiring of developers (within a week after receiving funds) • Selection of students (currently under process) • Intimation of scholarship to students (within a week after receiving funds) • Looking forward to the first tranche 
