  1. The Forty Rules of GuidanceRule Four Prepared by: Hacene Chebbani

  2. Dangers of Iftiraa’ ”و قد خاب من افترى“ طه:61 • “And he has failed who invented a falsehood.” Taha-61 • The key word in this segment: ”افترى“ • Al-Iftira’ is one of the different levels of lying. • A lie is a false statement deliberately presented as being true.

  3. Continued • Al-Iftiraa’: A false statement deliberately made about someone who is not pleased with it. Or “ to invent a falsehood against someone.” • What is the context of this segment?

  4. Different Types of Iftiraa’ • Inventing Lies against Allah: ”و من أظلم ممن افترى على الله كذبا“ “And who is more unjust than one who invents a lie about Allah” 6/93 Fabrications about Allah: • Shirk: “These, our people, have taken besides Him deities. Why do they not bring for worshipping them a clear authority? And who is more unjust than one who invents a lie about Allah?” 18/15

  5. Fabrications about Allah • Continued: • Claiming Prophethood: “And who is more unjust than one who invented a lie about Allah or he said ‘It was revealed to me but nothing was revealed to him…” 6/93

  6. Continued • “The hour will not be established until some tribes from my ummah will follow in the footsteps of the idolaters and they will worship idols, and until thirty liars appear in my ummah and all of them will claim that he is a prophet, but I am the seal of all prophets. There will be no prophet after me.” Tirmithi/Abu Dawood.

  7. Prophet-hood Claimants • Q: The number of people who made this claim has exceeded 30? • Answers: • Those 30 prophet-hood claimants had followers and became famous among their communities. • Others could be mentally challenged. • Some of them were deceived by Shaytan or by some dreams. Later on, they retracted their statements after they listened to clarification. • Others retracted their claims under pressure from ruling goverments.

  8. Continued • 2nd answer: • “…there will be in my ummah 30 liars…” • These 30 liars belong to ahlu-Qiblah. • The Qadiani Mirza Ghulam Ahmed and his statements in his book “The philosophy of the teachings of Islam” PDF.

  9. Another Fabrication about Allah • To talk about the Deen of Allah without any knowledge. “And do not say about what your tongues assert of untruth, ‘This is lawful and this is unlawful’, to invent falsehood about Allah. Indeed, those who invent falsehood about Allah will not succeed.” 16/116.

  10. Behavior of the Salaf • Many of them refrained from using halal and haram terms. • Omar bin alkhatab and his secretary. • The statement of Imam Malik about his teachers. • Conclusion: • No knowledge about the Deen= Keep quiet. • Qualified to issue fatawas= Be extra careful.

  11. Another Extreme Way of Misguidance • Do not develop the habit of passing judgments about scholars. • The scholar could be a qualified Mujtahid. • “If the hakim (ruler or judge) made his ijtihad or the efforts made to extract a verdict from the original sources of legislation, and he reached the right decree, he will get two rewards. And if he reached the wrong verdict, he will only get one reward.” (B)
