  2. Something Bigger Than Your House Cat • You were walking in Asia when you hear a roar. It was a tiger.

  3. You Can’t Find Me • Tigers live in Asia. • Tigers live in hot countries with long grasses and forests. • Tigers do not like too much heat.

  4. Crunch Crunch • Tigers live in Asia. They eat deer , larger animals, wild pigs, small mammals, birds , and frogs. • Tigers hunt at dusk or early in the morning. • Tigers are carnivores. • Tigers surprise their prey.

  5. Stripes Stripes Everywhere • Tigers are mammals. • Tigers have orange ,brown , black and white stripes. • Tigers are the largest in the cat family. • Tigers have five different types, Siberian, South China Tiger, Indochinese tiger, Royal Bengal Tiger and the Sumatra Tiger.

  6. Cubs, Cubs, What Are Cubs? • Cubs need protection. • When cubs are born they are helpless and blind. • Cubs sleep under the trees or in dens. • Cubs eat and sleep most of the day.

  7. Facts • Sometimes male tigers kill cubs. • Tigers are strong swimmers. • No two tigers ever have exactly the same pattern of stripes.
