  1. Amazon River By Leilani, Kemp, Christina, and Kai

  2. Day 1 of the journey • The Amazon river is on the continent of South America. This river has over 200 tributaries. The source is in the LagoVillafro in the Andes Mountains and the mouth is in Brazil and goes into the Atlantic Ocean.

  3. Day 2 of the Journey The amazon is the world’s largest rainforest. It is also the ancestral home of 1 million Indians. They are divided into 400 tribes, each with its own language. The Witoto tribe is the largest tribe that lives by the Amazon River. One of the traditions is that they eat other people’s meat and use their bones to make things. Their bones are also used for souvenires.

  4. Day 3 of the Journey The main causes of the deforestation in the Amazon Rainforest are humans settling and developing on the land. From 1991 to 2000 the Amazon rainforest has been shrinking because people are deforesting the rainforest and people are using that land for raising cattle.
