  2. What is it? • matches employees with similar commutes • people save on fuel and make new friends • reduces local traffic • less demand for onsite parking

  3. Member stats... • Around 80 employees from 20 businesses signed up • 23% have been matched and are car sharing • 15 people signed up for the cash reward scheme • 9 people have finished their 90 days on the scheme

  4. Cash reward summary... Between them, those that finished their 90 days: • shared 14,551 miles • spent £2,449 less on fuel • saved over 3.5 tons of green house gas emissions - enough to fill 2 hot air balloons • received £520 of cash rewards • saved on average £300 each, this is at least 3 times more then the highest cash reward 100% of participants plan to continue car sharing.

  5. Next steps... • The cash reward scheme has proved to be enough of an incentive to get people to sign up and find a car share partner, we plan to extend the reward scheme • We plan to continue to work with previously contacted businesses to encourage roll out of the scheme, and to contact an additional 40 premises that have been identified through promotional activities • Promotional events at various businesses have proved popular, we plan to continue to offer these to businesses who are interested in promoting the scheme to their staff

  6. Leader board... 1. 2. 3. • Social media has proved to be an effective way to encourage competition, we plan to continue to update our Twitter leader board:
