  1. The Little Gingerbread Boy By Mrs. Porter’s Kindergarten

  2. Once upon a time, Porter’s Pups made a little Gingerbread Boy. They decorated him with candy and sprinkles.

  3. They sent him to the oven in the cafeteria to cook.

  4. When they went to pick him up, he had run away from the cook.

  5. They looked and looked until they found a clue. The little Gingerbread Boy told them he had run away from the cook and he could run away from them too. He said to look for him in the Bookkeepers Office.

  6. Along the way, they met Mrs. Bass and Mrs. McReynolds. They had not seen the little Gingerbread Boy.

  7. They looked in the Bookkeepers Office, but Mrs. Ryan had not seen the little Gingerbread Boy.

  8. Their next clue told them to look in the Nurse’s Clinic.

  9. Nurse Bonnie had not seen the little Gingerbread Boy, so they continued to look. The next clue told them to look in the office.

  10. The boys and girls looked in the Office. Mrs. Dempsey, the secretary had not seen him. Mr. Giesler showed them his office and it looked like the little Gingerbread Boy had definitely been there.

  11. Wondering if they would ever find the little Gingerbread Boy, Porter’s Pups returned to their classroom. They found a final clue telling them that he had run away from the cook, run away from the bookkeeper, run away from the nurse, run away from the secretaries, and he could run away from them too.

  12. The boys and girls got busy right away, making a poster and pictures to let everyone at Garrison Mill know that the little Gingerbread Boy was still on the loose.

  13. They continued to look during the day out on the playground, in the computer lab, and at art and music class. Just when they thought he was gone for good, he was discovered sleeping in the classroom during rest time.

  14. He finally went the way of all little Gingerbread Boys. Yum Yum!
