Bulgarian Technical Legislation and Standardisation Policy Bulgaria's trade relations with other participant countries (1) • With Albania – Bulgaria applies the bilateral Free Trade Agreement; • With Croatia - Bulgaria applies the arrangements under the CEFTA in line with the Agreement for Accession of Croatia to CEFTA; • With Bosnia and Herzegovina – the bilateral Free Trade Agreement has been signed on 16.10.2003; Ministry of Economy/ State Agency for Metrology and Technical Surveillance

Bulgarian Technical Legislation and Standardisation Policy Bulgaria trade relations with other participant countries (2) • With Macedonia – Bulgaria applies the bilateral Free Trade Agreement; • With Moldova – the negotiations on the Free Trade Agreement were finalized in January 2004 • With Romania – Bulgaria applies the arrangements under the CEFTA in line with the Agreement for accession of Bulgaria to CEFTA; • With Serbia and Montenegro – from 1 June 2004 Bulgaria will apply the bilateral Free Trade Agreement; Ministry of Economy/ State Agency for Metrology and Technical Surveillance

Bulgarian Technical Legislation and Standardisation Policy Bulgaria has signed Regional Bilateral Agreements (1) • With Croatia - Agreement between SASM of the Republic of Bulgaria and the State Office of Standardisation and Metrology of Republic of Croatia for cooperation in the field of standardisation, metrology, certification, and accreditation - in force since 11.07.2000; • With Moldova - Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Bulgaria and the Government of the Republic of Moldova for cooperation in the field of standardisation, metrology, and certification - in force since 26.07.2000; Ministry of Economy/ State Agency for Metrology and Technical Surveillance

Bulgarian Technical Legislation and Standardisation Policy Bulgaria has signed Regional Bilateral Agreements (2) • With Macedonia - Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Bulgaria and the Government of the Republic of Macedonia for cooperation in the field of standardisation, metrology, accreditation and conformity assessment - in force since 08.03.2002 • With Serbia and Montenegro - Agreement between the SASM of the Republic of Bulgaria and the Federal Institution for Standardisation of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia on cooperation in the field of standardisation and certification - in force since 08.10.2002 and Agreement on cooperation in the field of metrology between SAMTS of the Republic of Bulgaria and the Bureau of Measures and Precious Metals of Serbia and Montenegro - signed on 17.10.2003 Ministry of Economy/ State Agency for Metrology and Technical Surveillance
