  2. Appearance • The Inland Taipan can grow up to 8 feet • The Coastal Taipan can grow up to 12 feet • The Coastal Taipan has a coffin shaped head • The Inland Taipan is gray and yellow • The Coastal Taipan is the largest snake in Australia

  3. Habitat • The Inland Taipan lives in the Northern Territory and Southern Australia in the desert • The Coastal Taipan lives in the Northern Territory and in Queensland

  4. Food and Hunting • They only eat very hairy mice or rats , and it eats small lizards and marsupials

  5. Nesting Behaviors • The Coastal Taipan can lay up to 22 eggs • The Inland Taipan can lay up to 20 eggs

  6. Interesting Facts • The Inland Taipan can kill up to 100 healthy men or 250,000 mice with it’s venom
