  3. Skills, Abilities And Interests • To be a Pharmacist, it is important to: • Be good in science and math • Enjoy helping people • Understand peoples needs • Understand medicine

  4. Education And Training • Pharmacists must have a license in medicine in the state they work in. • They must study for about 6 years. • They must go to college and pharmacy school, to become a pharmacist. • Plus you must pass a test. • A college degree is required.

  5. Classes To Take In College • Math • Science • Chemistry • Medicine • Pharmacy

  6. What Do You Do At Work? • Sometimes they mix the medicine themselves. • They hand the medicine out to the people who need it, and tell them how to use it correctly. • It might come as a routine to some people. • They usually work with other people.

Salary • The middle half of all pharmacists is between $83,000 and $108,000 per year. • One of the lowest pay is about $65,000 per year • One of the highest is about $120,000 per year. • The amount you get depends on where you work. • If you work in New York, you’ll have a better pay than if you live in Lee High.
