  5. How did the island get its name? The Seychelles archipelago get its name from the French Minister of Finance called Vicomte Moreau des Seychelles.

  6. Language and Currency In Seychelles they speak English , French and Creole. The Currency is Seychelles Rupee (SR).

  7. Climate The weather in Seychelles is humid. Cooler season during south-east monsoon (late May to September) Warmer season during north-west monsoon (March to May).
