  3. Flooding Problems • Flooding has damaged businesses and hurt the economy. • Homes have been damaged or destroyed. • When water treatment plants can’t handle flooding, the drinking water becomes polluted.

  4. Solutions For Flooding • Increase the use of berms, swales and reinforce dams. • Plant more trees. • Expand watershed areas. • Seek federal assistance for home owners and small businesses. • Improve sewage treatment plants.
