Pyrenees 2006 Be part of the greatest hiking trip this year (open to all) Walk in the heart of the Spanish Pyrenees for one week (and get a tan) Our accommodation is situated within 10 miles of the highest in the Pyrenees (Aneto – 3404m) and is surrounded by magnificent peaks and waterfalls. Our walks will cater for all abilities and are all guaranteed to be awe inspiring. Enjoy cheap beer and eat tapas all week Spain is incredibly cheap compared to southern France. The small town Benasque sports many and varied street cafés and fantastic walking shops. Get involved in true Spanish style fiestas Depending on local weddings, celebrations or Saints days there is generally a fiesta at the weekend and talking out of experience they know how to party! Plus, practice that Spanish or even your Flamenco! Chill out in a fabulous campsite Amazingly cheap, our campsite has bar, shop and swimming pool and is within easy walking distance of the beautiful mountainside town of Benasque. Bring your friends Although the trip is being organised by the hiking club membership is not necessary so bring anyone whether they’re in Swansea or not. The more the merrier! Itinery Outward Journey Morning of Wednesday 21st June 06 National Express to London Gatwick 7.15 am (Check in 1 hour earlier) Easyjet to Toulouse Arrive Toulouse 10.05 Train to Montrejeau, arrive 3pm Coach to Benasque, arrive early evening on 21st June Weeks Activities Given the opportunity to walk for 6 full days, walks will vary from gentle strolls to full day expeditions. Benasque sits as close in to the Pyrenees as any town and as such is surrounded by fabulous walking country. Please don’t miss this once in a lifetime holiday. Return Journey Coach from Benasque to Montrejeau, leaving Benasque mid afternoon Train from Montrejeau to Toulouse, arrive 6.30 pm 8.40 pm (Check in 1 hour earlier) Easy jet to London Gatwick. Arrive 9.30 pm National Express from Gatwick to Swansea. Arrive Swansea 5.40 am 29th June * Depending on numbers going and variable flight fares Book onto the hiking club Pyrenees trip at the Travel Shop in the University now!
