  3. The Department of Education & Training is pleased to announce a group of classes that you have requested. The new curriculum has been redesigned,and expanded, to meet both the general needs of Lodge Leaders as well as the more specific needs of the individual Lodge Officers and Committee Chairmen. Tailored to Your Needs

  4. The Lodge Leadership training curriculum consists of six different instructor-led courses. Each of the six courses contains interactive learning exercises to help reinforce concepts covered in class. Training Classes

  5. The Lodge Leadership Class includes a greater focus on Lodge Committees, and a whole new interactive seminar on the House Committee /Social Quarters operations. Lodge Leadership Training

Lodge Leadership: Is to Recognize how organizational resources (Lodges, Regional Managers, Moose International, Associations, and Districts) work together to support lodge operations and fulfill the Moose International mission. House Committee: Compare and contrast the operational and financial responsibilities of the House Committee to those of the Lodge Board of Officers (e.g., keeping the Social Quarters community friendly; reasons for following the General Laws, and interpreting business reports). Time ~ 7 hours Lodge Leadership TrainingObjectives

  7. Four additional modules are optionally available to meet the training needs of Lodge Leaders in any given area. Each of these modules has been customized to focus on role-specific duties: New! New! New!

  8. How To: Run Meetings, Appoint Chairmen, Delegate Time ~ 2 hours Class forGovernors, Junior Governors, Junior Past Governors

  9. Financials and Audits Time ~ 2 hours Class for Treasurers, Administrators, Chaplains, and Audit Committee Chairmen

  10. How To: Run An Inventory, Verify Goods Received, and Annual Building Inventory Time ~ 2 hours Class for For Trustees

  11. How To: Run Meetings, Budget Concerns, and Delegate Time ~ 2 hours Class for Committee Chairmen and Members

  12. These classes are available by request through your District President and will be scheduled to meet the needs of the Lodges. Classes Available

  13. 2-HOTT (LCL.net & QuickBooks) Designed primarily for Lodge Administrators, Chapter recorders, and/or Moose Legion Secretaries, other individuals may attend. This class may also benefit: Administrative Assistants, Treasurers, Financial Directors, Audit Committees, or any other Officers or Members interested in learning more about the Moose computer programs.   14. Follow the steps below to enroll in a Lodge Leadership course: 1. View a list of currently-scheduled courses @ www.mooseintl.org Members Only / Education & Training / Current Course Schedules / Lodge Leadership Class Schedule. Please note the registration cutoff date and the Trainer’s contact information! 2. Complete the Course Registration form @ www.mooseintl.org / Members Only / Education & Training / Current Course schedules / Lodge Leadership Registration Form 3. Contact your Lodge Leadership Trainer to confirm enrollment – prior to the registration cutoff date. Refer back to the Lodge Leadership Class Schedule if necessary to confirm the Trainer’s contact information. NOTE: If you do not see a class in your area, please contact your State Training Coordinator for assistance.   16. There will be an Administrators School at East Portland Lodge 1891, 16411 NE Halsey, Portland, OR, June 10 through 12, 2011. Anyone who wishes to attend this school must have attended a 2-HOTT class and register for the class with Education and Training at Moose International.  There is a fee of $150.00 for the class which includes materials, lunches, and coffee service for the three days.  Day 2 is spent on computers, so anyone who comes to class will need a computer for the second day.   Last time I checked there was no Admin School Trainer in Washington - that's why I'm sharing this information with you.    Questions?  Please let me know!
