  2. What is Naviance? • A state-of-the-art college and career website • A new way to “talk” college • A new way to share ideas with students, parents, and teachers • A new way to plan for the future before the future is here • An interactive means of communicating college ideas

  4. Logging In to Naviance • Go to https://connection.naviance.com/ashs • All 11th grade students were given a username and password in early October that will allow them access to Naviance • Any questions regarding log in information should be directed to the guidance counselors

  5. Search for Colleges • Click on “COLLEGE SEARCH” • Enter information that is important in searching for the right college • Click “NEXT” as often as necessary • Click “SHOW MATCHES” at the bottom of the page

  6. College Game Plan • Click on “MY GAME PLAN” • Enter info into the fields • This page can be shared with your son/daughter’s counselor when planning for college this year

  7. My Personality Type • Not sure of what you want to do after high school? • Click on “MY PERSONALITY TYPE” • Answer all of the questions in the survey • Click on career possibilities

  8. Building a Resume • Resumes add a professional look to an application packet • Follow the steps in the “MY RESUME” link • Colleges are interested in all extracurricular activities (i.e. clubs, athletics, community service, part-time jobs) from 9th-12th grades

  9. Want Even More? • Click on the “RESOURCES” link • A wealth of information on: • College searching • Financial aid • Test Preparation • College Athletics • Military Options • Also, try the “COLLEGE LOOKUP” link • It’s a quick way to explore specific schools • By state/region/major etc.

  10. What now? • Explore, explore, explore • This tool can be used ANY TIME! • Make an appointment with your son/daughter’s guidance counselor to discuss further college questions/information
