  3. Learning Objectives • Identify the principal programs and activities of The Rotary Foundation. • Understand how contributions to the Annual Programs Fund support Foundation programs. • Identify the role of the club’s Rotary Foundation committee. • Select appropriate committee members

  4. Responsibilities • Achieve club Foundation goals for the coming year. • Educate and train club members about the Foundation. • Encourage club members to participate in Foundation programs and support the Foundation financially. • Communicate the Foundation goals of the district and the Trustees to club members

  5. Role • Develop and implement plans to support The Rotary Foundation through programs and financial contributions.

  6. The Rotary Foundation Mission To enable Rotarians to advance world understanding, goodwill and peace through the improvement of health, the support of education and the alleviation of poverty.

  10. Educational Programs • Ambassadorial Scholarships • Group Study Exchange (GSE) • Rotary Centers for International Studies in peace and conflict resolution • Rotary Peace and Conflict Studies (Chulalongkorn University)

  12. Humanitarian Grants Program • Matching Grants - $5,000 to $25, 000 • Competitive Matching Grants - $25, 001 to $150, 000 • District Simplified Grants – 20% of DDF

  13. Standards for Humanitarian Grants • Involve active participation of Rotarians • Assist in the development of stronger Rotary networks • Demonstrate commitment to stewardship of Rotary Foundation funds • Address a humanitarian need

  14. Stewardship • Ensure oversight of the project. • Conduct all financial transactions in a business-like manner. • Report any improper use of funds immediately. • Implement projects as they were approved. • Submit complete reports on the project’s program and financial activities.

  15. The Rotary Foundation Committee • Resource for helping you achieve Foundation goals • Educates Rotarians about The Rotary Foundation • Develops and carries out plans to support the Foundation through financial contributions and club participation in Foundation programs

  19. Every Rotarian, Every Year 1. Encourage every Rotarian to contribute to the Foundation’s Annual Programs Fund every year. 2. Express appreciation to Rotarians who contribute to The Rotary Foundation. 3. Ask contributors to share their reasons for contributing.

  24. Most of us come under this fortunate categories Thanks to Society for making us what we are today so let us repay our debt to the community by Sharing Rotary

  25. Is It enough tobe rich in this world ? Ask yourself what is your life worth at the END

  26. What will matter is not what you bought, but what you built; not what you got, but what you gave. What will matter is not your success, but your significance. Rotary gives you this opportunity
