  4. Mandate • Assess existing resources of ISOC chapter • Assert and Define a vision and mission for the new organization (whatever the form of the organization) • Propose a new organization to ISOC members resident in Switzerland and develop an implementation plan for the next two years

Environmental assessment of the local ISOC landscape • Comprehensive understanding of the key stakeholders: • industry groups (SwiNOG, Medias, others…) • institutional players (Registrars, Governance & Policy developers, Regulators) • other key actors, such as NGOs, users, and probably others.

Expected Outcomes • A vision and a mission for the organization meeting the overall ISOC strategic plan. • A strategic roadmap to be able to develop the activities according to available resources, and stakeholders expectations • An Implementation plan • A financial plan • A leadership structure, with a RACI, and hopefully nominated candidates for the various roles required to support the new organization. • A pool of volunteers, which would like to contribute in either supporting activities, knowledge development, or meeting facilitations

Urgent Tasks • Define the roles in the transition team expertise • responsibilities • deliverables • Design a survey for Swiss resident ISOC members in order to: • Assess their expectations from a local ISOC chapter • Assess their interest in participating to which types of events  • Assess who will be actively involved in participating, either as leaders with the new organization or contributors to the value and knowledge creation process for the members. • Assess who will join the Transition Team for the necessary roles.

Swiss ISOC chapter creation plan • Plan the activities required to create the business plan: • Set quality standards, metrics and feasibility criteria • Define the goals and the content of each deliverable • Assign roles and responsibilities to identified people • Plan activities within available resources • Assign and execute tasks • Review and approve the deliverables • Integrate the deliverables into a unique consistent project charter
