About Him • He was born on 16 September 1923 • He is the co-founder of the People’s Action Party(PAP) • He helped Singapore to gain independence • Singapore's second prime minister GohChok Tong appointed him Senior Minister in 1990 • He is one of the history’s longest serving minister • His son , Lee HsienLoong, is now the Prime Minister of Singapore • He is widely recognized as the founding father of modern Singapore.

  3. Things he helped Singapore to achieve • He helped Singapore to gain independence • He managed to make Singapore a member of: -ASEAN on 8 August 1967 -United Nations on 21 September 1965 -Commonwealth on October 1965
