  3. eBusiness Standards • Definitions • Core Component Library (CCL) • A syntax-neutral directory of data used to build messages. Envisioned to become the ‘superset’ for both EDIFACT and the TDED. • UN/EDIFACT • EDIFACT stands for "Electronic Data Interchange For Administration, Commerce and Transport". UN/EDIFACT (ISO 9735) is a global standard for the presentation of business and commercial data destined for electronic exchange data between companies. • Trade Data Element Directory (TDED) • A set of data elements used primarily for cross border transport; aligns to EDIFACT and to numerous international organizations. 08 December 2010 3

  14. eBusiness Standards • ISO and the UN have a Joint project for Alignment of: • TDED • Core Component Library • UN/EDIFACT • Team includes representatives from: • UN/CEFACT (ATG1 and TBG17) • ISO TC 154 (Member countries: US, UK, Japan, China, etc.) • WCO • UNTDED/ISO 7372 MA – Responsible for the TDED • Agreed to produce a new version of the TDED • WCO will provide links between the TDED and WCO Data Model TBG17 and the TDED MA would welcome you! 08 December 2010 14
