JISCMRD Programme Evidence Gathering • Please sit with project colleagues • Aim: to encourage projects to think about benefits they will generate and evidence for this at an early stage. • Output: all 18 month projects to blog a first statement of the benefits they think they will generate and how they will go about providing evidence for this (qualitative and quantitative)

JISCMRD01 Benefits Report • Large infrastructure projects produced benefits case studies: http://bit.ly/jiscmrd01-benefits_case_studies • Summarised and discussed in report from Neil Beagrie: ‘Benefits from the Infrastructure Projects in the JISC Managing Research Data Programme’: http://bit.ly/jiscmrd01-benefits_report • Examples, how to gather evidence of: • benefits of clear and accessible guidance; • meeting funder requirements; • improved research efficiency/more rapid data retrieval; • cost savings through centralisation/virtualisation. • Objective is to help projects work on this from an early stage
