  1. Lincoln Elementary Community School Construction Update : March 19, 2013

  2. Our school will be ready soon! • I was able to visit the new school on Tuesday and wanted you to see how the construction is progressing. I know it is hard to tell from pictures, but I hope you will be able to understand the descriptions I have given. I will visit again soon and take more pictures as the construction continues. • Enjoy!

  3. Standing in the lobby, looking at the library and conference room. The main door is to the right. The library windows haven’t been put in yet.

  4. This is in the lobby. To the left are the front doors and we are looking at the office area. The first door you see is my office and the other one is Mrs. A’s office.

  5. I am standing in the office area and looking out from my door. You can see the door that goes into the K-2 Hallway and then the open area to the lobby – there will be a counter there soon. You are actually looking at part of the cafeteria and stage.

  6. This is a view of the cafeteria and stage area from the open lobby. There is a kitchen to the right and the stage area is open to the gym, but there will be doors that cal close it off.

  7. They were working on the stage construction today, This looks out into the gymnasium.

  8. This is the K-2 Hallway, but I am standing at the end of the hall by the door that leads to the playground. You can see the glass area that will be the student work areas (break out rooms) off the classrooms. If you walk down this hall, you will get to the lobby.

  9. This is the student work room (break out room) off one of the k-2 classes. I am actually standing in the classroom looking into the room .

  10. This is one of the grade 1-2 classrooms. They are the same size as the classroom you have now, but are more square shaped and not rectangular.

  11. This is the project work area in the K-2 hallway. The door you see leads to the resource room.

  12. This is the resource room. It is very bright with two windows! You get to this room from the doorway by the project work area.

  13. This is the literacy room. It is right across from the grade 2 classrooms and next to the project work area. It is the same inside as the resource room.

  14. This is inside the student services area. The door with the wood leads to the resource room (that room has two entrances). The other two doors are offices – probably for guidance and mrssilliker (apsea).

  15. This is taken from inside a kindergarten classroom. The doorway to the right is a washroom (the K classes each have one). You can see the student work room (break out room) straight ahead. There will be a moveable wall between every two classrooms.

  16. This is inside a kindergarten classroom. You can see the 3-5 wing when you look out the window. You can also see the playground area.

  17. Looking out the window, you can see the playground area by the orange tarp. Also, between the two wings will be an outdoor classroom at some point.

  18. This is looking out the same window but in the other direction. You can see where the windows will be for the breezeway (hallway) to go from one wing to the other.

  19. This is looking into the teacher workroom from the K-2 hallway. The other doorway straight ahead leads to the staff kitchen.

  20. This is the staff kitchen. It is not very big, but will have cupboards, fridge, stove, microwave and a kitchen table and chairs.

  21. This is the doorway into the office area from the hallway near the staff kitchen. The PA system will be where you see the hole in the wall. You can see the doorways to mrsa’s office and then my office.

  22. This is the breezeway (hallway) to the 3-5 wing. There will be windows where you see the orange tarps, and you can see the two doorways to the gym. I am actually standing in the cafeteria.

  23. This is our gymnasium!! The stage is to the right. It is actually the same size as the gyms at Gesner and Summerhill.

  24. This is another picture of the gym, from the second doorway. You can see the stage area from here.

  25. This is the project work area in the 3-5 wing. It is located on the corner of the hallway that will lead you back to where the gym is located.

  26. This is the multi-purpose room that we can use for Art, music, drama, and other activities. The rooms in this wing have not been painted yet.

  27. I am standing in one of the 3-5 classrooms and looking out into the hallway to the right and into the student work room (break out room) to the left. This room is shared between the two classes.

  28. This is one of the grade 3-5 classes. Thy are almost ready to install the drop ceiling.

  29. This is the student work room (break out room) that I am looking at from the hallway. There is a classroom on each side that you can see.

  30. The view from one of the grade 3-5 classrooms. That is the ball field in the back of the school.

  31. We will soon be in our new school. I hope you enjoyed the photos!~Mrs. Gieseckelion’s pride. Lead and learn with the lincoln lions!
