  3. Welcome • My Teaching Background -3 years teaching special ed at Susquenita School District, K-4 and high school -2 years teaching multi-grades in Haiti -1st year with CDSD • Married for 2 years • Live in Pine Grove

  4. Routines • Daily Schedule • Specials -Day 1 Art -Day 2 Music -Day 3 Library -Day 4 Computer Lab -Day 5 P.E. Switching classes • Reading Skills • Math Skills • Content (1st rotation on September 22nd) • LaPenta-PSSA Prep • Zehring- Science • Byers-Social Studies • Classroom Logistics

Extracurricular Activities • Parent Teacher Student Council • One representative and one alternate per classroom • Applications due September 17th • Elections at the end of September • Meetings the first Thursday of the month from 4:15 to 5:30 p.m. • Students must have ride home following meeting

  6. Rules • Be prepared • Act responsibly • Respect S.O.A.P. (self, others, adult, property) • Keep body to yourself

  7. Behavior Management • Hierarchy of consequences • Bulldog bucks • Banking practice • School-wide rewards/lotteries • Monthly gold raffles • Daily classroom options • Weekly classroom “store” • Monthly grade-level rewards

  8. Homework • Homework Planner • Signed daily by teacher/aide and parent • Math worksheets from Go Math • Letter at the beginning of each chapter • Homework- • checked and given completion grade • Too busy for homework or taking off school?

Online Gradebook • http://www.cdschools.org • Click on “Parent Tab” along top of screen • Select Home Access Center (HAC) • Register • Must have email address to access system • Grades are usually entered within one week of assessment • Questions/Problems: call Administration building 545-4703
