Who is Syndicate & why we chose this topic? We chose to do Syndicate because we enjoy watching videos, he entertains us and we want to do what he does because we enjoy playing the games he plays. Syndicate or Tom Cassell is an English 18 year old gamer born in Manchester on the 23rd of June 1993. He is best known for playing Call of Duty, Zombies and Minecraft. He puts his videos on Youtube to share his videos with all of his 1,000,000 subscribers. He makes commentary for his videos. He is also known for his Skyrim series and Sims 3 series. What is the purpose of What Syndicate does? Syndicate works for a gaming company called Machiama and they pay him to produce YouTube videos for peoples entertainment. Syndicate puts the videos on his YouTube channel . The channel is called TheSyndicateProject. On his channel he puts the videos into different topics according to each game and puts them into episodes which then makes a series. < Syndicate sniping
What series have Syndicate done? Here is some info about some our favourite series he has done. TheMinecraftProject: Syndicate started his Minecraftproject on a hardcore mode which means when you create the world you have a certain amount of lives and hunger. If you die you have to delete the world and start over. Syndicate changes game mode from hardcore to survival which means if you die you respawn at the last place you slept or if you haven't slept you respawn at where you started the game. He started his survival series living in a small wooden hut. As the series went on he built a large house. By episode 100 Syndicate defeated the Ender Dragon and by episode 200 Syndicate had built a second house and a team of gamers who did a series called pimp my minecraft. They came on an made his second house look epic. By episode 228 Syndicate went on a huge adventure and found a island where he turned a cave into a house. Then he used a teleporter mod to get back to his original house.
Series Part 2 Callof Duty: The Call of Duty series is not as big as the Minecraftproject. In this series Syndicate plays the game Call of Duty online by himself, with his friends or with his Subscribers. There are many different game types such as Team death match or TDM, Free for all, Domination or Dom and Search and Destroy or S&D or Search (these are not all the game types). In TDM Syndicate and his team have to reach 7500 points before the enemy. The way you get the points is by getting a kill which is worth approx 100 points. In Free for all there are no teams and Syndicate has to get to 30 kills before the other 7 players do. In Dom Syndicate and his team mates have to cap flags. There are three flags, A, B and C. Your team has to get 200 points and the only way to get the points is by capping the flags. For each flag there is approx 1 point every 2 seconds that you have it. So if you have all 3 flags you will get 3 points every 2 seconds etc. In S&D Syndicate has only one life per round so if you die you cant respawn until the next round. The game objective is to plant a bomb and get it to blow up. If the bomb is defused by the enemy you lose the round. Then after two rounds you swap and Syndicates team is trying to defuse the bomb. SeriesPart 3 Zombies: Syndicate starts at wave 1 in a room against weak zombies. Every time you kill a zombie you get points. By the time he gets to round 4 he has enough points to open the first two doors and buy a MP40 (machine gun). At wave 5, 6 or 7 (luck of the draw) Syndicate has to survive a wave of zombie attack dogs. At wave ten Syndicate would usually open two more doors to get to the power room. After you turn on the power you may find the random gun box where if you pay 950 points you could get a random weapon that could be one of the two most powerful guns in Zombies. The two guns are called the ray gun and the thunder gun. You can also activate the teleporter and teleport to a room where the zombies temporarily cant kill you. If you have 5000 points in the teleporter room there is a machine that when you put your gun in it your gun will become uber powerful. Thunder gun Ray gun
Up until now every video you watch on YouTube was recorded in the past but Livestreaming allows people to start broadcasting videos in real time as the event is happening. What is Livestreaming? Syndicate mostly livestreams games broadcasting as he plays. Syndicate has done lots of Minecraft livestreams. He also does Call of Duty livestreams and Zombie livestreams. Personal Profile About Tom Cassell Syndicate or Tom Cassell is an English 18 year old born in Manchester England on the 23rd of June 1993. He's got a girl friend who's name is Kate. Personal Achievements Syndicates biggest achievement is getting 1,000,000 subs on YouTube. In 2011 Syndicate broke the WORLD RECORED for the highest round survived on Black Ops Zombies. ( he reached round 116) A different achievement is getting other 250 episodes of TheMinecraftProject. The last achievements is Syndicate ate a grub that he feeds to his lizard. Who influenced Syndicate to become a YouTuber? The main YouTuber that inspired him was a gamer call Woodiesgamertag. Some of the things that Woodiesgamertag does: Mail Mondays: He Woodie reads all the mail he gets from his subscribers and he turned it into a series. Call of Duty: Woodie plays infected. Infected is a game mode on the mw3 multiplayer options. What you have to do is, there is an infected count down timer and when it hits 0 some one from the party will be infected. He has no bullets and can only knife. The infected person has to kill the enemy then they will become infected as well. The non infected have to survive for 5 mins. If they do they win but if everyone gets infected, the infected team wins.
What did Syndicate do before youtube? Before YouTube Syndicate was a normal teen who went to school, worked part time at Mc Donald's and played computer games. Then he came up with the idea of putting his game commentaries on film and this is when his life changed. Syndicate getting interviewed
How did Syndicate become famous? Syndicate began filming his games by stacking 20 DVD cases and putting his Dads camera on top aiming it at the TV. At first his youtube videos were watched by 1000s of people and soon was an internet sensation. His Dad thought it was a waste of time and thought he should concentrate on his studies. It took 3 years of posting his videos on different online channels before he became successful. He started TheSyndicateProject in September, 2010 and had 3000 viewers straight away. With the support of the tutor from his IT programming course Syndicate left school and his Mc Donald's job to begin his own gaming commentary business full time. His online commentaries have now been watched by over 2000000 people.
How much does Syndicate get paid. Because Syndicate is a youtube gamer we don’t actually know how much he earns. It all depends on the views on his videos, his subscribers, his comments and his relationship with youtube and Machinima.
What equipment does Syndicate use and how much did it cost? Syndicate has and needs lots of equipment to record and post his video in decant quality. Here is some of the equipment he uses. Pc monitor x4, 1200 pounds (all up), TV, 800 pounds, X box 360 170 pounds, Ps3 300 pounds, Pvr 400 pounds, Laptop 1500 pounds,Computer 3000 pounds, Key board 150 pounds, Mouse 90 pounds , Astros (head set).

He travels the world to promote the Syndicate Project. He was chosen to judge the British Academy games awards (Bafta). He is well known for his sayings eg. ‘’BUT WHY’’ or ‘’House Keeping’’ and others. He used to sell Lucozade to kids at his primary school.
